Questions, answered plainly.

The things people actually want to know before they order.

Is the packaging discreet?

Yes. Every order ships in plain brown packaging with no gal pal branding visible, usually within one working day.

How much is delivery?

£3.99 for standard UK delivery, free on orders over £60.

What are your toys made from?

Every product page lists exactly what it is made from, so you can check before you buy. Most of our toys are silicone, glass, stainless steel or ABS plastic. These materials are non-porous, which means they clean properly and suit most lubricants. A few products, mainly some fetish and lingerie pieces, use other materials such as PVC, and the product page says so. Not sure about something? Email info@galpal.co.uk and we will tell you exactly what it is.

Can I return something?

30-day returns on unopened products. Opened intimate products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, unless faulty - in which case contact us and we will replace or refund it.

Who is gal pal for?

Gal Pal was created with women in mind - trans women included, every woman welcome. If something here is right for you, you are welcome to it. Female-founded, est. 2018.

I have no idea where to start. Help?

That is what The Edit is for - plain-English guides with no hype, starting with choosing your first vibrator. Or ask us directly - questions about products, bodies, comfort and fit are always welcome.

How do I clean my toys?

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for that model first. For many non-porous toys, warm water and mild unfragranced soap work well - clean before first use and after every use, then dry fully before storing. Our guide to cleaning sex toys covers the details.

What's the difference between a vibrator and a suction toy?

A vibrator creates vibration against the area it touches. Suction and air-pulse toys create a pulsing sensation around the clitoris instead - a different feeling entirely. Neither is better; it comes down to what feels good to you. Each product page explains what that model actually does.

Which lube should I use with a silicone toy?

Water-based is the safe default with every material we stock. Always check the toy's instructions and the lube's label for compatibility - our guide to water-based vs silicone lube explains the difference.

Can I use a toy in the bath or shower?

Only if that specific product is rated for it. "Splashproof" and "waterproof" are not the same thing, so check the product page and the manufacturer's instructions before getting it wet.

How do I choose a size?

Go by the actual dimensions listed - especially insertable length and width - rather than the photos. If a listing does not tell you enough, ask us before ordering.

What if my toy is faulty?

Email us with your order number and a description of the fault, and we will arrange the next step. You never need to share anything more personal than the fault itself.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Not at the moment - we currently ship within the UK only.

Can I share a toy with a partner?

Clean it between uses and use a new condom for each partner - and change the condom when moving a toy between anal and vaginal use. Check the toy's own cleaning instructions too.

What if something arrives damaged or is missing?

Email us with your order number and tell us what happened. A photo of any damage helps us sort it out quickly.

Is there a warranty?

Warranty terms vary by brand and product - check the product page or ask us before buying. If a toy develops a fault, email us with your order number and we will explain the next step.

What shows up on my bank statement?

A discreet descriptor - not the gal pal name. Your card statement keeps your shopping to itself.

Is delivery tracked?

Yes. Orders go with Royal Mail, and you get a tracking link once your parcel is on its way.

Can I send an order as a gift?

Yes. The packing slip shows no prices, the packaging is plain with a discreet sender name, and you can add a gift note at checkout.
